Gail and Tom's "Project 4G63" Starion

Gail and Tom have with the help of Dave Buschur have put together a really beast 4G63 Starion.  I got a chance to see it at the 2004 National StarQuest meet in Tennessee last 4th of July.  Amazingly clean.  You can find info on the car at: http://starion.turbomirage.com/
More info on Gail's racing here:

Best of luck with the racing Gail!

Buschur Racing, a pioneer in the whole 4G63 thing built a Conquest drag car with a 4G63.  He's also a member.  Find info here: http://www.buschurracing.com/Conquest1.html

Doug's '89 Conquest

Name is Doug, in Las Vegas.  Here is an 89 Conquest I am doing a 4g63 swap on, my own car.  Used a Powerglide with an adapter plate.  Trans has a 5000 stall, lockup converter and transbrake.   Kept the AC  on the car.  Made my own header and intake manifold.  Used a Garret GT3040 turbo, mild Crane cams, AEM EMS.  Just to get it running.  Have a six bolt 4G64 to put in later.

The car was $300. Sold all the stock engine, trans and parts on ebay.  I had the engine.  Made the intake and header for $200 in materials.   The turbo and cams I got for free from the manufacturers when I was doing dyno testing.  AEM was $800 new with my account.   Trans is the most expensive thing on the car.  With the mid plate and mounts I spent $3500 on that.  Those came from my good friend Dave Buschur.   Been working on the car a little at a time for a year.  Shit I own 10 DSM's.  I put the 2.4 in this year and some NOS, should be a fast car.  The 2.0 in it now should make 450hp on pump gas once tuned.

Feel free to use my car pic on your site.

thanks
Doug

Somebody's D50 Swap

Somebody sent me pictures of this D50 undergoing a swap.  Looks neat.  Email me your name if its yours.

Alex's Bimmerbishi

E30 BMW with a 4G63.  Tons of work in this one.  Write something up for me Alex!  I know its got an Evo 8 turbo and manifold and an HKS front mount.  Check out his site: www.dentsport.com.  All the info is there so I'll keep it brief here.  UPDATE: Alex gave up on the 4G63 due to the D50 transmission blowing on a hillclimb.  It's now being called Bismo: SR20DET BMW.

Jason's Starion

This is Jason's Starion.  It has a 60-1 turbo and a Starion transmission that he modified to fit the 4G63...  I really don't know the details, but you better believe I'm going to find out!  Jason has a modified firewall and is using D50 mounts (stock motor location and driveshaft).  He has an aluminum aftermarket Civic radiator.

Okay.. its mine.

Mike (DJpowerHaus)
'88 Starion with a '90 Eclipse FWD 4G63t and a D50 5 speed transmission.  Nothing special here.  Old Hat, right?  Here's my site for the hell of it: www.zerog.beatingyou.com

All you other people who have done this or are in the process of putting a 4G63 in a RWD vehicle, please get in touch with me and get your car put up here.  Do a write up.  Make it longer than what is above.  Make it a multi-page site if you want.  We'll host it for you.  Get photos too.  What challenges did you have.  What would have made it easier/better?
